I started climbing in the Koots in the early 80s but have been away from climbing for a few years because of other committments. I have put up numerous first ascents and boulder problems over the past 20+ years. I’d like to meet others interested in exploring existing and new bouldering in Pass Creek, Robson, and Syringa. I’m available on Sat/Sun afternoons. Thanks.

Hey I’ve found some sweet boulders towards arrow lakes. If you’re game we can go out, clean and climb em… I have a small pad. BTW I live in Robson.

    hey
Will be in town from Aug 6th to 28th. Be keen to swap beta on new development in various spots. Will likely be spending most my time in Pass Creek and Grohman. Always happy to boulder w someone vs solo. I’m old, and break easily, so extra pads are awesome.
Caveat – I get up early to be back for breakfast w the family and avoid the granite in the mid day sun.

Hi Marcus. Well, I’m somewhat old but always appreciate the extra pads anyways (I have 2 extra large ones). I like to get an early start as well. I usually boulder on Wednesday mornings and Sat or Sun. My wife and I just moved to Pass Creek five weeks ago. I’ve been developing trails and boulders out our back yard. The development is underneath the huge Pass Creek cliffs about a 4 minute drive down the road from Norns Road. I’m really excited about one area in particular that has a boulder similar to the Ladybird but bigger with longer roof problems and lots of features. Anyways, I’d be happy to show you the area and explore the slide area up Norns road as well (I’m going there today for my first time). You can always call me at home (250) 364-0743 and leave a message.

    Take Care,

    David

    Hi Marcus,

I just got back from showing Scott Jeffrey the new area behind our house and he was blown away, especially by the amazing cliffs a 5 minute hike up from the bouldering. He would like to boulder with us also.

I have your guide for Bealby, Grohman, and Norns road. I developed some of the Grohman bouldering with Curtis Jameson, my main partner over the past few years, and so am familiar with much of this. However, I’ve never visited the slide area on Norns road (we didn’t end up going there today). It looks great.

Just call me when you are ready and we can coordinate. Besides my home phone (250) 365-0743 you can reach me weekdays on my cell (250) 608-1554 and by email at davidbristow@shaw.ca.

I’m looking forward to meeting you.

    Safe travels,

    David
