Hi Diane,
It sounds like you have uploaded your photo into your gallery which is part of your dashboard. That is good.
If you click the add image button a window pops up called “Add an Image”. At the top of that window, select the gallery tab to see images you have already uploaded. When you see your image, click show to open the image.
When the image opens, you have the option to enter a caption, choose sizing and alignment. At the bottom, just left of center, there is a button that says “Insert into Post” When you click that button, the image should appear in your post.
It is important to place your cursor where you want the image before adding it. Moving images around after they are inserted can cause issues with formatting in your text so it is often better to remove the image and re-add it.
Once an image is added, you can click on the image and will see a little picture icon and a red circle with a line through it. If you hit the red circle, you delete you image but if you hit the picture icon, you can change size, caption and alignment.
In terms of your “About” info, I note that your blog has a spot for it on the main page as well as a page called “About” Your template is showing a blank image, or so it appears, under your about information on the main page. Is your profile and image or text?
If you look to the top of your blog you will see links to the Home and About pages. I would suggest using the About page for your profile.
I hope that helps and if you need a hand, you can make me a temporary administrator on your blog and I can take a look at your profile issue for you.
