applying sub-categories (3 posts)

    Hi there! I’m writing regarding the yoga blog. I’ve been trying to add subcategories to the categories of the blog so there will be drop-down options displayed at the top menu. It’s all set up when managing the categories but when applied nothing shows up in the menu. Hope my issue makes sense. Any guidance is appreciated.

    I apologize for taking a bit to get back to you. I need to figure out how to get notifications of new posts.

    Your description makes complete sense.

    If I look at your blog today, I see a drop down menu appears under The Yoga Directory but nowhere else. It sounds like you are trying to populate the remaining top menu items.

    I don’t have an answer for you but will direct your question to someone who can help.

    Hi Trisha,

    One of the benefits that came with our recent upgrade was a new custom menu feature.

    Depending on whether your theme has custom menus active (and your’s does), you can now edit the menu under:

    Appearance > Menus

    You can add pages, categories and custom links to your menu and by dragging items under each other you can create submenus. It’s pretty self-explanatory, except for one thing: you can create multiple custom menus and you will need to select which custom menu you want to use for the top nav and which menu for the widgets (if you even want a menu in the sidebar).
